The Tale of Fragoline

This is Fragoline - she's a little bit scary and totally different in style from any of my other work but I love her!

'The Tale of Fragoline' was written by a friend of mine called Clemency (not to be confused with my daughter Clementine) and it was just SO good I just had to illustrate it.

Fragoline is being published by Chicken House in the UK - Scholastic in the US and is due out October 2011.

Here's an extract:

Fragoline was bright and clean

She always ate up all her greens

Pure as milk and good as gold

She always did as she was told

BUT ...

In the darkest bones of night

When good kids were sleeping tight

She donned her jet black velvet cape

And made a midnight hour escape!

The Moon gazed down in fear and dread

And warned ‘Little ones should be in bed!’

‘I’ll do exactly as I please: I’m Fragoline!’ She said
